Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) uses principles of learning and behaviour to support individualized goals. Depending on the person and their needs, goals may involve communication, social participation, daily living skills or other meaningful skills.
HolistiCare’s clinical supervisor is listed on the Ontario Autism Program Provider List for Clinical Supervisor of Behaviour Services. The Provider List identifies qualified clinicians; it does not mean every HolistiCare service is automatically covered. Whether OAP funding can be used depends on the family’s allocation, the service delivered and current program requirements.
Families can find current registration, eligibility and funding instructions on the Ontario government’s Ontario Autism Program website. Registration alone does not guarantee immediate funding or coverage for a particular service.
HolistiCare offers services for children and youth. Age ranges and suitability vary by service and program. Contact us with the child’s age and the support you are seeking so we can discuss available options.
Our centre-based services are in Ottawa. Services elsewhere in Ontario may be considered depending on the service, clinical suitability, qualified staffing, scheduling and location. Contact us to ask about current availability in Toronto.
An RBA (Ont.) is a Registered Behaviour Analyst with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario. BCBA stands for Board Certified Behavior Analyst, a separate certification issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. A clinician may hold both credentials. At HolistiCare, ask us which registered clinician oversees your ABA service and about their qualifications and role.
Yes. Families can ask about private-pay services. Applicable OAP funding or insurance benefits depend on the service, the provider, the family’s eligibility and the relevant program or plan rules. We can provide service and fee information before you decide whether to proceed.
ABA uses assessment and principles of learning and behaviour to identify goals and monitor progress. Other therapies have different scopes and approaches. The appropriate service depends on the child’s needs and the qualifications of the professional providing care.
The frequency and duration of ABA services depend on individualized goals, assessment, progress, family priorities and practical factors. The supervising clinician will discuss recommendations and review them as services continue.
Some insurance plans may cover eligible ABA services, but benefits and provider requirements vary by policy. Applicable OAP funding may also be used for eligible services under current program rules. Confirm coverage with your insurer or funding program before relying on reimbursement.
