A structured after-school setting for children in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 8, bringing together individualized ABA goals, educational support, peer interaction and everyday skill building.
Monday to Friday, 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., at HolistiCare's downtown Ottawa office. Small groups of up to four children. Program fit, available spaces and fees are confirmed with each family before enrolment.
What children can work on
Activities and goals are selected for each child. The program can bring several kinds of support into one after-school routine.
Guided practice with learning routines, attention, organization and school-related skills. This is supplementary support, not a school program.
Supported opportunities to practise turn-taking, cooperation, play and interaction with peers, according to each child's goals.
Everyday opportunities to practise expressing needs, listening and interacting with others. Speech-language pathology is a separate service when arranged.
Practice with age-appropriate routines, independence and practical skills relevant to the child's individual plan.
ABA-informed support for individualized goals, with clinical oversight by an Ontario Registered Behaviour Analyst.
Communication with caregivers about the child's goals, participation and next steps as appropriate to the service plan.
A thoughtful starting point
The after-school setting offers a combination of individual support and opportunities to participate with peers in a small group of up to four children. A clinical review helps determine whether the program, staffing and activities are suitable for your child.
Families can tell us about the support they are seeking. The team then discusses available options and any assessment or service planning needed before enrolment.
Fees and the proposed service schedule are provided before a family commits to services.

We discuss goals, program fit, available places and the applicable fee and funding details.
If the program is suitable and a place is available, we provide the required service information and enrolment documents before services begin.
Funding information
OAP: HolistiCare's clinical supervisor is listed on the Ontario Autism Program Provider List for Clinical Supervisor of Behaviour Services. Applicable OAP funding may be used for eligible ABA services when the child's allocation and current program requirements permit. The after-school label does not make every activity or fee OAP eligible.
Private insurance: Coverage depends on the family's plan, the service actually delivered and the qualifications of the billing provider. Families should confirm their benefits directly with their insurer. We provide service and fee information to help with that check; reimbursement is not guaranteed.

No. Educational support is one part of this after-school ABA program. It does not replace school instruction. Any separately arranged tutoring service is identified and billed separately.
Eligibility depends on the specific services delivered and the family's OAP allocation or insurance policy. We discuss the service breakdown and fees before enrolment; families confirm their own coverage or reimbursement.
