What is ABA therapy?
Effective, evidence-based therapy for children with Autism and other needs, which is effective in reducing inappropriate behaviour and in increasing communication, learning, and appropriate social behaviours.
About Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)
Applied Behaviour Analysis is, most simply, the science of behaviour. At it core, behaviour analysis involves observing the behaviour of interest and working through empirical methods to make socially significant changes.
How Does It Work
When starting ABA services, the first step is to assess skill level of the individual. This includes a board certified behaviour analyst conducting interview, reviewing passed therapeutic history, and observing and assessing directly the individual in a natural or contrive setting. This information and data are used to create individual programming for the individual based on their specific needs.
