Join HolistiCare as a Registered Behaviour Analyst (R.B.A. (Ont.)) / Clinical Supervisor and provide clinical oversight for individualized, evidence-informed applied behaviour analysis services. Location: Ottawa and Greater Toronto Area
Opportunity Status: Recruiting for current and anticipated clinical assignments. Availability depends on confirmed service demand, location, scheduling requirements and suitable assignments.
Engagement Options: Casual or part-time employee opportunities and independent contractor opportunities. The available arrangement will depend on operational requirements and the nature of the working relationship.
Employee Compensation: $65–$75 per hour, based on relevant clinical experience, qualifications and assigned responsibilities.
Independent Contractor Fee: $85–$110 per authorized clinical service hour, based on qualifications, experience, assignment requirements and the applicable service agreement.
Employee Reporting: Clinical Director or designated operational leader.
Independent Contractor Coordination: Designated HolistiCare clinical or operational contact, as specified in the applicable service agreement.
Professional Accountability: The Registered Behaviour Analyst remains responsible for practising within their authorized scope, competence and applicable professional and regulatory standards.

Position Summary

HolistiCare is recruiting a Registered Behaviour Analyst (R.B.A. (Ont.)) who is authorized to practise autonomously in Ontario to support the assessment, planning, oversight and evaluation of applied behaviour analysis services.

Depending on the accepted or assigned engagement, responsibilities may include conducting or reviewing assessments, developing individualized clinical programs, monitoring outcomes, collaborating with caregivers and other professionals, supervising appropriately qualified service providers, and completing required clinical documentation. Services may include Ontario Autism Program-funded services where applicable.

Employee responsibilities will be assigned within the employment relationship. Independent contractors will accept specific service engagements under an applicable written agreement while remaining responsible for their professional judgment, regulatory obligations, scope of practice and the manner in which contracted services are delivered.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities Applicable to Both Arrangements

  • Conduct, review and interpret behaviour-analytic assessments within the registrant’s authorized scope of practice and demonstrated competence.
  • Develop, approve, monitor and revise individualized behaviour-support and skill-development programs using appropriate clinical evidence and client data.
  • Establish measurable goals and analyze clinical data to evaluate progress, treatment integrity and the need for program modifications.
  • Obtain and document informed consent and support the client’s participation in decision-making in accordance with applicable professional standards.
  • Collaborate with clients, caregivers, supervised service providers, schools and other professionals when authorized and clinically appropriate.
  • Provide caregiver consultation, education or training when included in the service plan and within the accepted engagement.
  • Provide and document clinical supervision only where authorized, competent and appropriate for the client, service and supervisee.
  • Maintain accurate, timely and secure clinical records, progress reports and funding-related documentation, including Ontario Autism Program documentation where applicable.
  • Identify clinical risks, respond appropriately to safety concerns and recommend referral to another qualified professional when a need falls outside the registrant’s scope or competence.
  • Practise in accordance with CPBAO requirements, applicable legislation, privacy obligations, professional standards and HolistiCare’s authorized service requirements.

Casual or Part-Time Employee Arrangement

  • Manage the caseload, schedule and clinical responsibilities assigned within the employment relationship.
  • Provide clinical direction and supervision to assigned HolistiCare employees or service teams, where authorized and required.
  • Participate in required employee meetings, case reviews, quality-assurance activities and workplace training.
  • Follow applicable HolistiCare employment policies, clinical procedures, privacy requirements and documentation timelines.
  • Communicate scheduling, service-delivery and clinical concerns to the designated HolistiCare leader.

Independent Contractor Arrangement

  • Review and independently accept or decline proposed service engagements in accordance with the applicable written agreement.
  • Exercise independent professional judgment regarding clinical methods and service delivery while meeting agreed service outcomes, professional standards and client-safety requirements.
  • Coordinate accepted service schedules and deliverables with the client and designated HolistiCare contact.
  • Maintain all registrations, professional liability insurance and other contractor requirements specified in the service agreement.
  • Provide required clinical records, service confirmations and invoices within the timelines established for each accepted engagement.
  • Remain responsible for the contractor’s business operations, tax obligations and professional practice requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario as a Registered Behaviour Analyst (R.B.A. (Ont.)).
  • Authorization to practise autonomously in Ontario and to perform the clinical and supervisory responsibilities included in the accepted or assigned engagement.
  • No terms, conditions or limitations on registration that would prevent the applicant from safely and lawfully performing the responsibilities of the position.
  • Relevant graduate-level education and clinical preparation consistent with CPBAO registration requirements.
  • Demonstrated competence in behaviour-analytic assessment, individualized program development, data analysis, clinical monitoring, supervision and outcome evaluation.
  • At least one year of full-time post-registration experience delivering and supervising applied behaviour analysis services for autistic children or youth, as required for applicable Ontario Autism Program provider-list work.
  • Strong clinical documentation, professional communication, organization and collaborative decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of informed consent, privacy, record-keeping, professional boundaries, risk management and applicable CPBAO standards.
  • Professional liability insurance that meets CPBAO and applicable Ontario Autism Program requirements, obtained individually or through the employer as applicable to the engagement arrangement.
  • A satisfactory vulnerable-sector screening or police-record background check completed within the previous year before providing applicable Ontario Autism Program services, and updated screening when required by law, a service setting or HolistiCare policy.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it before beginning an in-person assignment where required by the service setting, assignment or HolistiCare safety policy.
  • For employee opportunities, legal entitlement to work in Canada. For contractor opportunities, legal ability to provide the contracted professional services in Canada.
  • Ability to provide services at accepted or assigned locations in Ottawa or the Greater Toronto Area when in-person service is required.

Preferred Qualifications and Assets

  • Current BCBA or BCBA-D certification in addition to Ontario registration.
  • Current inclusion on the Ontario Autism Program Provider List.
  • Experience delivering or overseeing Ontario Autism Program-funded services.
  • Experience supervising Supervised ABA Therapists, Behaviour Technicians or other appropriately qualified service providers.
  • Experience collaborating with schools, caregivers and multidisciplinary clinical or educational teams.
  • Experience with centre-based, home-based, school-based, community or remote service delivery.
  • Professional ability to provide services in French or another language commonly used by the communities HolistiCare serves.

Assignment-Specific Requirements

  • A valid driver’s licence, access to transportation, additional site screening, immunization records or other documentation may be required only when reasonably necessary for a particular assignment or service location.
  • Any assignment-specific requirement will be communicated before the applicant accepts the assignment or begins the applicable duties.

Additional Requirements for Independent Contractors

  • Maintain independent professional liability insurance and any other insurance required by law, CPBAO or the applicable service agreement.
  • Maintain all professional registrations, certifications, business records, tax accounts and WSIB status or clearance required for the contractor’s circumstances and accepted services.
  • Provide invoices and supporting service records for accepted engagements.
  • Provide any contractor-supplied equipment, technology or materials identified in the applicable service agreement.
  • Acknowledge that placement on HolistiCare’s contractor roster does not guarantee referrals, assignments, hours or minimum revenue.

What We Offer

Casual or Part-Time Employee Arrangement

  • Hourly compensation of $65–$75, based on relevant clinical experience, qualifications and assigned responsibilities.
  • Employee payroll administration and statutory employment entitlements in accordance with applicable Ontario law.
  • Access to HolistiCare’s applicable clinical documentation, scheduling and administrative systems.
  • Clinical assignments and schedules based on confirmed client needs, service demand, location and employee availability.

Independent Contractor Arrangement

  • Contractor fees of $85–$110 per authorized clinical service hour, based on qualifications, experience, assignment requirements and the applicable service agreement.
  • Ability to review and independently accept or decline proposed service engagements.
  • Coordination support for accepted client services, documentation and communication as specified in the applicable service agreement.
  • Access to agreed HolistiCare systems and service information required to complete accepted engagements.
