ABA Therapist / Behaviour Technician 

Location: Ottawa/ Toronto
Employment Type: Part‑time / Contract / Per Diem
Compensation: $25–$30 per hour (based on experience)
Reports To: Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)

Position Summary

The ABA Therapist / Behaviour Technician implements individualized Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) intervention programs under the supervision of a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). In this role, you will work directly with children and youth to support skill acquisition, behaviour reduction, and functional participation in daily routines and environments.

Services may be delivered across clinic, home, school, and community‑based settings. This role is well‑suited for professionals seeking flexible scheduling, structured supervision, and ongoing development within a collaborative clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver one‑on‑one and small‑group ABA therapy sessions in accordance with individualized treatment plans
  • Implement behaviour intervention plans (BIPs) under the supervision of a BCBA
  • Collect, record, and manage accurate behavioural data during sessions
  • Support skill development across communication, social, academic, and daily living domains
  • Collaborate with clinical team members, families, and school personnel as appropriate
  • Participate in supervision, team meetings, training, and professional development activities
  • Maintain professional, ethical, and client‑centered conduct in accordance with relevant standards and organizational policies

Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in psychology, applied behaviour analysis, child and youth care, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 6 months of direct experience working with children or youth with ASD or developmental disabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Valid vulnerable sector criminal record check (or willingness to obtain)

Assets:

  • Behaviour Technician (BT) Certificate
  • Bilingualism (English/French)
  • Experience delivering services across multiple settings (home, school, community)
