Join HolistiCare as an Educational Assistant / Teacher Assistant and provide individualized learning, participation and skill-development support to neurotypical and neurodiverse learners. Responsibilities may include assisting with educational activities, implementing approved learning strategies, supporting learner engagement and documenting progress under the direction appropriate to the confirmed program or assignment. Services may be delivered in approved centre, home, school, community or remote settings, depending on learner needs, confirmed assignments, staff availability and the applicable engagement arrangement.

Opportunity Status: Recruiting for current and anticipated learning-support assignments. Availability depends on confirmed program demand, location, scheduling requirements and learner needs.
Employment Type: Casual or part-time employee
Work Settings: Approved centre, home, school, community or remote settings, depending on the program and confirmed assignment.
Employee Compensation: $25–$35 per hour, based on relevant education, qualifications and experience.
Reporting: Registered Teacher, Program Supervisor or other designated HolistiCare leadership appropriate to the assignment.
Scheduling: Hours and assignments vary according to confirmed demand, employee availability, learner needs and operational requirements. No minimum number of hours or assignments is guaranteed.

HolistiCare is seeking Educational Assistants / Teacher Assistants to support individualized and small-group learning programs for neurotypical and neurodiverse learners. Depending on the confirmed program or assignment, the employee may assist with literacy, numeracy, language development, study skills, school readiness, curriculum-based activities, executive-function strategies, participation and other approved learning goals.
The Educational Assistant / Teacher Assistant supports plans developed by the appropriately qualified teacher, supervisor or other authorized professional. Responsibilities may include preparing materials, assisting learners during activities, implementing approved strategies, observing participation, collecting assigned information and completing objective documentation.
This is a support position and does not authorize the employee to independently perform the duties of an Ontario Certified Teacher, conduct clinical assessment, diagnose a condition, develop clinical treatment plans or represent educational support as regulated health care. Any behaviour-support duties must be specifically assigned, within the employee’s training and competence, and supervised as required.
French-language ability is highly valued and may be required for designated bilingual or French-language assignments.
